When treating a patient, the curriculum is not the most important factor. However, the training received by the health professional in whom you place your trust must be of sufficient quality to ensure a safe, reliable, and effective treatment. It is our responsibility—and your right as a patient—to be informed about our training. Unfortunately, the legislation in our country does not guarantee that all osteopaths who present themselves as such have the same level of education.
