When treating a patient, the curriculum is not the most important factor. However, the training received by the health professional in whom you place your trust must be of sufficient quality to ensure a safe, reliable, and effective treatment. It is our responsibility—and your right as a patient—to be informed about our training. Unfortunately, the legislation in our country does not guarantee that all osteopaths who present themselves as such have the same level of education. Ramon Cases-Solé is an Osteopath, specializing in Pediatric Osteopathy, and a Physiotherapist.He holds a PhD from the University of Barcelona, cum laude, in the Translational Medicine and Research program, and has more than 20 years of experience in the field of Health Sciences. He is also a researcher, dedicated to the study of osteopathic healthcare, especially in children with developmental disorders, particularly Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). He also conducts scientific and teaching activities in areas such as interdisciplinarity, bioethics and professional ethics, the regulation and development of the professional practice of pediatric osteopathy, and the integration of dialogue between various sciences in healthcare training and practice. He is a member of the Faculty of Doctors of the University of Barcelona, the Spanish Registry of Osteopaths,and the international organizations Osteopathy Europe and Osteopathy International Alliance.He is also a member of the College of Physiotherapists of Catalonia.
