New Book Available: Virtudes Cristianas en la Práctica
If you’d like to get to know us a little better, the book Virtudes Cristianas en la Práctica. Clínica y Vida de un Doctor que trabaja con las manos, written by Ramon Cases-Solé, is now available.
Here’s the back cover text:
This book is written with the head, the heart, and the hands. And I invite you to read it in the same way.
Within its pages, you will find a synthesis that is uncommon in these times. Written with direct, practical language and from a place of respect and openness to dialogue, the author shares with the reader the process of conversion—or rather, the return to faith—and rediscovery of it.
A long and profound journey that he has experienced over the past years, stemming from the study and treatment of children with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and Christian virtues. An account applicable both to clinical practice and, above all, to Life.
As mentioned in the Preface:
“It does not attempt to indoctrinate or proselytize, much less impose anything. Ramon Cases simply opens his life to the reader, without falling into exhibitionism, seeking spectacle, or useless provocations. His approach is more like someone who has found a wonderful place or has met Someone truly special, and says to a friend:
‘Would you like to get to know Him too?’”
Now available at select bookstores and online platforms.

At the end of this journey, I would first like to thank Prof. Óscar García-Algar for his trust and commitment to this project. We began talking about it some time ago and remained steadfast until the end. I hope this is, in fact, only the beginning of the road.
Thanks to my parents Ramon and Antonieta, and my sister Pilar, for being true examples of humility and hard work.
Thanks to everyone who, in one way or another, collaborated on this project. It’s not possible to name everyone who deserves it, as the time that has passed since its inception would make the list very long. Through active participation or occasional advice, many people were key to bringing this work to fruition.
So, I offer thanks generally to all the teachers, mentors, colleagues, and patients for teaching me with such patience. A special mention to: Dr. David Varillas-Delgado, Mn. Ignasi Navarri, Fr. Ignasi M. Fossas, and Fr. Bernat Juliol. They helped ensure that in several match point moments, this work ended up winning.
Thanks also to the Registro de Osteópatas de España (ROE) for their support and recognition through the Research and Doctoral Grants awarded in 2018.
And finally, the most important thanks, the last one, which is the first. To all the children, adolescents, and families who took part in this project — especially those affected by FASD. Treating them changes your life, for studying and coming close to their reality leaves no one indifferent.
I have witnessed the combination of harm to the unborn innocent and their abandonment — in the case of adopted children. At the same time, I have also witnessed the hope that resides in one of humanity’s finest traits: the compassion of families who take them in, not without difficulty, and the strength of children who have much to teach us about the essence and dignity of human beings.
To all of you, thank you.
The Lord replies: Can a mother forget her nursing child, or show no compassion for the child of her womb? Even if she could forget, I will never forget you.

Introduction
Introduction
Ramon Cases-Solé is an osteopath, specialized in pediatric osteopathy. He holds a PhD from the University of Barcelona, with Cum Laude honors in the Medicine and Translational Research program, and has over 20 years of experience in the field of Health Sciences. He is also a researcher, focused on healthcare through osteopathy, especially in children with developmental disorders, particularly Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD).
Above all, however, he defines himself as a Catholic Christian, and this is the core of his work, as reflected in this publication, his clinical practice, and his life.
In parallel, he also devotes himself to studying and publishing scientific articles and papers in areas such as interdisciplinarity, bioethics and professional ethics, regulation and development of pediatric osteopathy, and the integration of theology and philosophy in healthcare education and practice.
